I can admit that I may have missed one, but with the exception of that Warm Bodies movie staring Beast from Skins, I don’t know of any series out there that actually attempts what we’ve put forward today. That said, there is a new Walking Dead spinoff on the way…
Any way, it’s not surprising to me that Zombies have been featured in so many comics over the years. After all, what other medium trades so heavily on the death and resurrection of it’s characters? Soap Operas maybe, but… are there still Soap Operas?
To make this a totally nonsensical post, I’d like to see a Zombie hit the WWE. People come and go there and with the exception of the Undertaker, rarely do they actually die and come back. Plus, a “Zombie Gimmick Battle Royal” ie gimmicks that have come and gone would be a fantastic match.
So, yeah. Zombies. Let’s get on that.
Today’s page shuffles into view thanks to Rantz Hoseley:
Rantz Hoseley is a caffeine-swilling, profanity-spewing force of dark comic matter who’s been kicking around the comic industry since 1987. Having worked on everything from Phil Foglio’s “XXXenophile” to the OGN adaptation of Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” he was nominated in 2009 for the British Fantasy Award (which he didn’t win) The Eisner Award (which he did win), and the Harvey Award (also a win) for “Comic Book Tattoo.” Rantz stays busy these days with “some TV stuff in development”, a “new technology company” & a number of other projects he can’t talk about yet. In 2012 he finished his first novel “The Homecoming Game”, which is in the Long Dark Twilight of the Editing.
Hope November kicks off well for y’all! See you back here Tuesday!
