Though I doubt that the actual first meeting between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel will be as adorable as this, but I think they could avoid some strain in their relationship later in life if they are just this honest.
I am actually looking forward to checking out this series. I quite enjoyed the last Superman/Batman series. The first to arcs were really enjoyable. What I’m surprised by is the announcement of Jae Lee as the interior artist. Lee’s art is breathtaking, but I don’t know if it is really suited for the interiors on a big time Superhero book. Superman and Batman in a book seems like it would lend itself to a more traditional style of art.
Either way, I’m sure I’ll check it out. What I am really hoping for is a return to the style of book that was Superman and Batman’s first team up title: Worlds Finest. It has to be one of the best comic books in history, simply because of its embracing an exploitation of silliness.
Bring on the silly, my friends. Bring on the silly.
Today’s cuteness was brought to us by a new friend, Kwanchai Moriya:
Hi, my name is Kwanchai Moriya.I’m a freelance illustrator based in Los Angeles, California. I received my BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design, and have been working steadily illustrating a variety of projects since then. Besides painting on big panels and drawing robots, I love woodworking, vintage toys, and camping.
Have a great start to the week, friends! See you back here Wednesday!
