Truth be told, I can’t say I’ve ever watched a single episode of Dancing With The Stars.
So You Think You Can Dance however, I was glued to for the first 4 or 5 seasons. But I think that had more to do with the influx of college age girls in tights than a real love or understanding of dance.
I will say though, if ABC put together a fake dance competition show featuring actors playing Marvel Characters I would buy 2 TIVOs. One to make sure I got the show and the second to hold nothing but epsiodes of Dancing With The Superheroes in a kind of Tivo-Time-Capsule for future generations to behold.
The actors would have to say in character the whole time, with full costumes and whenever possible props like Cap’s Shield or Mjolnir would have to be utilized. The judges would have to be… DOOM, Mary Murphy and Nick Fury, with DOOM in the Simon Cowell role. Or even better: Fury in the Cowell roll, and Doom as drunk Paula Abdul.
And the contestants? Feel free to nominate your suggestions on our FB page!
I think this could really work. ABC, Marvel… I know you’re out there. An Exec Producer credit and I’m yours…
Today’s page comes to us from the wonderful Jeff Simpson:
Jeff Simpson studied painting and drawing at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree. Shortly after graduating he moved with his wife to Denver. Jeff began showing work at the Gallery Cuvee in the Denver art district. At this time he was primarily working in the realm of fine art producing highly detailed drawings and paintings of a surreal nature. After many successes in fine art, Jeff decided to pursue his original artistic passion; illustrating comic books. Jeff is currently illustrating the webcomic “Keeper,” a crime noir/soccer mash up. The story has been picked up a by a British publisher and should see print early next year.
