To hell with “Augmented Reality” Marvel. Just make this game a reality and put the download code for THAT in the book. You’ll sell millions!
Though teaser images from Marvel are nothing new (I still get the 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 5pm e-mails daily) the ones for the second issue of Avengers Vs X-Men could almost be published as a book of their own. There’s certainly enough of them to fill out a monthly series, and they do tell a story:
Act 1: Avenger meets X-Man.
Act 2: A suitable quote is found.
Act 3: They fight.
Which, for a series called “Avengers Vs X-men” is actually refreshingly direct. Y’know, for a teaser.
While I’m still not sure which is my favorite (its a toss up between the Red Hulk/Colossus back rub teaser or the Steve/Scott twilight teaser) I can tell you this: with 6 months of the story on the horizon, we can only hope that they keep up the teasers in this style. Sohmer can take the whole summer off, ’cause Gutters will write itself!!
Today’s page comes to us from a man who I would totally give a backrub to, Mr. Ryan Lee:
Ryan Lee is a freelance illustrator/designer diligently working out of his home studio surrounded by foxes and spiders in Northwestern Michigan. Since his graduation from the College for Creative Studies in 1999, he has been steadily working in various creative mediums including (but not limited to) illustration, advertising, graphic design, character design, fine art painting, and storyboards. Most recently, Ryan has refocused his work efforts on the comic book industry, a passion of his since he first picked up a pen as a child.
Have a great weekend, friends! See you bright and early Monday!
