I loves me some Scott Snyder. And I loves me some Greg Capullo. And I loves me some of them together on Batman.
But add in them agreeing with me that $5 is a bit much to pay for the average comic book? I may have to start constructing a shrine.
Incidentally, I believe both of these New Yorkers and Great American Heroes are going to be at New York Comic Con this weekend and so shall we! Yep, Sohmer, Lar, Will and Myself will be boarding various planes a hitting the Big Apple for the duration of the show! We’ll be at Booth #2246 with all the Gutters books, shirts and snark that you can handle.
Something interesting about NYCC: The Gutters BFO becomes an autograph hunter’s dream as most of the Artist Alley is comprised of Gutters Alumni. One girl last year got over 60 signatures in hers!
At any rate, be there or be somewhere else! We’ll be there, however.
Today’s page could only have come from our very own Lar deSouza:
A professional illustrator for over 20 years, Lar is the cartoonist for the 2008 Shuster Award winning online comics, “Least I Could Do”, which is updated daily at www.leasticoulddo.com, and “Looking For Group”, which is updated Mondays and Thursdays at www.lfgcomic.com . Lar has also been the recipient of the Prix Aurora Award for Artistic Achievement in Canadian Science Fiction (2008, 2006) and numerous other awards for caricature and cartooning. Lar works from his home in Acton Ontario. He continues to receive commissions for digital and paper illustrations, caricatures and cartoons. Lar has a lovely wife, two beautiful children and three tolerant cats. The wife and kids are tolerant too.
Have a great week, everyone! See you in New York!
