Upon hearing that Dynamite Entertainment and the Estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs had settled their court case, two thoughts sprang immediately to mind:
- What a great happy ending to a story I never realized how little I cared about.
- Wait, so Dynamite was just publishing books with slightly tweaked titles in flagrant violation of a copyright? You can do that?
Regardless, it’s nice to see everyone getting along again. I for one can’t wait to see the re-launch of All New Warlord of Mars, now featuring even more green-skinned babes.
The best news? Regardless of all of this, I’m still enjoying the tasty goodness of my Watchmen Toaster.

Gavin Smith is a freelance artist who lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the artist on the comic books “The Accelerators” and “All Superheroes Must Die”.
