I don’t think I really felt like the idea of new Star Wars movies was real until I took a look at the cast picture that was released this week.
Now that I’ve seen it, I have to say, I’m feeling pretty hopeful.
Not just because JJ Abrams seems to get how to make (or remake) sci-fi properties, but because the cast of assembled actors resembles that cast so many years ago that brought us A New Hope. It’s mostly young, unknown actors who won’t bring with them the baggage of the celebrity lifestyle or stigma of other projects.
Aside from that guy from Girls, I mean. I saw him ejaculate on someone in that show. You can’t unsee that.
Regardless, I think that for the first time not only does a new Star Wars flick seem real, but it also seems (dare I say it?) hopeful. Perhaps I’ll be proven wrong, but for now? Me and Star Wars are on good terms.
