One Panel At a Time

Hey Folks, while I’ve got your attention I wanted to alert you to a massive sale we are having to make some room in the warehouse! If you haven’t picked up the gorgeous Gutters hardcovers, now is the time!

Now, I’ll admit, while working the booth at NYCC I wasn’t privy to a lot of the Series and changes that Marvel announced.

Now, having had full week to go through all the headlines and information… I still don’t feel like I’m privy to a lot of the series and changes that Marvel announced.

So far, I’ve come across something like sixteen “new” titles (and by that I mean re-numbering or re-launching), at least two more multi-issue crossovers, something to do with Marvel UK and, of course, to kick it all off, a brand spanking new ALL NEW MARVEL NOW POINT ONE #1.NOW SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC.1 #NOW.EXPIALADOCIOUS one-shot.

It’s often said that it seems like comic companies aren’t trying anymore. Well, Marvel you are certainly trying, but perhaps a little too hard. Marvel is quickly becoming that friend who texts at the same time every day asking if you want to “do something” because they are already outside your house and thought they’d see if you *KNOCK KNOCK* were home.

I mean, DC didn’t even have a booth at NYCC and even if they did, competing for popularity with DC these days is like competing against a Kaiju having just remembered those sweet swords your big-ass robot had this whole time.  They are kinda ripe for the stabbing.

So, all I’m saying is you may want to dial it back a bit. Just an idea. We like you, I swear. No need to come on quite so strong.

Today’s page comes to us from the one and only Jorge F. Muñoz:

Enjoy the rest of the week, friends! See you back here on Friday!
