Before we get into the excitement of today’s page, it gives me great pleasure to remind you that Sohmer, Lar, Rich and even Becker will be at C2E2 in Chicago this weekend. I’m told that C2E2 is the biggest gathering of Gutters artists on the Con Schedule. So what a perfect time to pick up a book and make the rounds getting as many pages signed as you can! Plus, the boys will have prints, mousepads and more available at Booth #432.
If you are in the area, do say Hello won’t you?
Now as for today’s page, with the massive success of The Walking Dead, it’s really no surprise that AMC are going back to the KIRKMAN well and turning his (and Nick Spencer’s) newest book, Thief of Thieves into a TV show.
When The Walking Dead was announced, it already had years of stories under it’s belt, so we had an idea of what kind of show we were going to get. Thief of Thieves has but three issues on the stands, so it’s hard to say what kind of series it’ll end up being on the tube. All I know is I think the book is a damned good read and I’ve got no reason to think that it’ll be any less exciting as a TV show.
So, it probably won’t be long for KIRKMAN before AMC are asking him for a third series (anyone else want to join me in nominating Battle Pope?), the Movies start calling and from there… well it’s only really a hop, skip and jump to World Domination, isn’t it?
