I just want to state something for the record: I would read the hell out of Sesame Street: Year One. In fact, you could parody any number of classic comic stories with Muppets and I’d buy every last one with a smile.
Disney and BOOM came close a few years ago with Darkwing Duck and their “The Duck Knight Returns” and “Crisis On Infinite Darkwings” stories, which were highly enjoyable.
So, APE I look to you to pick up that ball and make the dreams of the young and old comic fans come true. Because if there is one thing that can be taken away from today’s page it’s this: Follow your dreams.
Don’t wait for a bat, or adoreable furry monster to come crashing through your window. Get out there and make the superstitious and cowardly lot in your life fear you in your own way.
And of course, I mean that as a metaphor. Don’t actually start intimidating people. Entertaining children is ok, but leave the actual vigilante work to trained professionals.
Or Eastern European homeless men.
Either way, follow your dreams.
