Not That Wimpy
Welcome back, folks! I trust your New Year's celebrations were as overhyped and underwhelming as usual?
I've been following Jeff Kinney's career since his first book and it's been an amazing thing to watch. I've always been of the mindset that anything that gets kids reading is a good thing, and Wimpy Kid is no exception to that rule.
If 55 million books have been sold, that accounts for a lot of kids picking up a book instead of a game controller.
I can understand why Kinney felt the need to sue Antarctic Press over the parody series, but I'm not too sure it was necessary. To date, the Zombie Kid book has sold 850 copies.
I think the Wimpy Kid brand is successfully protected.

We'll see you back here Wednesday, folks.
