If the name 'Gareb Shamus' doesn't ring a bell, chances are you'll be more familiar with his company, Wizard World. Responsible for both the Wizard World brand of Comic Conventions as well as the now defunct magazine of the same name, it's no secret that those folks have hit some hard times.
Not if you listen to them either spin it or ignore the questions they don't want to answer, of course.
Once upon a time, Wizard magazine was THE source of news about our industry. Once upon another time, Wizard Worlds were the definitive comic shows in the US, aside from San Diego.
Sadly, those times are past and one (me) can't help wonder about the decisions made from way up high that led them to where they are today.
Like the first 3 seasons of Lost, I prefer to remember Wizard World as it was, not what it ended up becoming.
We'll see you back here on Friday, folks.
