Leave it Alone
Before I ever cracked open a comic book, I was already well immersed in the comics page of the newspaper. I love the comic book medium but I will always be a comic strip man first.
I will write whatever I can during this crazy road I call my career, yet first and foremost, I write comic strips. That’s what I do.
Those 4 panels are sacred to me.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t hold Peanuts in high regard, and of course, Charles M Schulz. To that end, what do I think of BOOM/KABOOM’s plan to produce a Peanuts ongoing monthly?
Leave it alone, leave our memories alone and allow our children to discover Peanuts as it was meant to be discovered, with 50 years of daily comic strips, penned and drawn by the man who created it.
Today's page was done by David Namisato:
David Namisato is an illustrator in Toronto, Canada, who is grateful that his line of work involves drawing robots, zombies, super heroes, beautiful women, and puppies. David is currently working on a book version of "Life After the B.O.E.", his online comic about teaching English in Japan.
There’s plenty of good stuff coming out this week, folks, so why not take a trip to your local comic book shop?
We’ll see you on Wednesday.
