Happiness Is A Warm "Suck It"
For the most part, I have to say I have enjoyed a lot of the Disney stuff that BOOM has put out over the last few years. To see characters I loved as a kid like Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers and Ducktales carry on has been a treat. The Darkwing Duck series has also been top-notch, and the fact that Walt Disney Comics is well past its 700th issue shows that the Disney characters definitely have a place with comics readers.
But once the Disney/Marvel deal went through, the writing was on the wall for BOOM, and their Disney days were numbered.
It's a little sad, but I suppose that's how business is done. I really hope Marvel puts their all into publishing the Disney stuff (especially Darkwing!) and doesn't just do it because they have to. There's a great chance here to reach a lot of readers at many different levels and I'd hate to see it go to waste.
Also, if I may be so bold as to offer a bit of advice, I think this would be a great time for BOOM to start looking into more original all-ages content. Things in the vein of "The Amulet" and Raina Telgemeier's "Smile." Maybe give Scholastic and their Graphix imprint a run for their money.
Just an idea.

Have fun, and see ya here Friday!

*Update* See the below links to hear what people are saying about Ducktales #3. I haven't read the issue myself, but based on what I've been able to dig up, I can't say that's a bad thing.
