The comic book film renaissance that’s been happening over the last few years has made a believer of many jaded fans. Still, when it was announced that an Avengers film was being planned, the skeptic was there, always present.

Then it was announced that Geek-Hero Joss Whedon would be helming the film, and the skeptic faded somewhat. Still present, but more subdued.

Now, with filming of the film actually begun this week, we wait and hope that Whedon delivers the Avengers film we're all dying to see.
